Food Innovations, Inc. ( a wholly owned subsidiary of Innovative Food Holdings)  was founded in 2002 under the premise that chefs need access to the highest quality specialty food with the least amount of touch points possible.  Since inception the company  has been in the business of providing premium foodservice establishments  with the freshest origin-specific perishables and specialty products shipped directly from the source or our warehouses within 24 – 72 hours.

In 2009 the company launched it’s direct to consumer channel:  www.forthegourmet.com; offering thousands of the very same artisanal and specialty products used by thousands of professional chefs across the Unites States.

In May 2012 the company completed the Acquisition of Artisan Specialty Foods- a leading supplier of specialty food products in the Chicago area.

In November 2012 the company also  formally launched Food Hatch: www.foodhatch.co – The Food industry’s first early stage accelerator- designed to make IVFH synergistic  investments in seed and early stage food related companies.

At the end of 2012, to further expand it’s nationwide distribution capabilities,   the company completed the acquisition of certain assets of  The Haley Group – a leading broker and relationship manager in the foodservice space

IVFH has grown from $7.6 in sales in 2009 to over $11.7 million in sales in 2011 and over $12.6 million in sales in the first 9 months of 2012; IVFH  customers now include  over 30,000 of some of the leading restaurants, hotels, country clubs, hospitals and other foodservice establishments in the United States

IVFH  subsidiaries currently  include: Food Innovations, Artisan Specialty Foods, For The Gourmet, Gourmet Foodservice Group, Haley Group and Food Hatch.
